What to do in Washington DC W / eldly mother?

My husband, son and take my mother in Washington DC on 4 (arrival at noon) to 7 (out A) October Lunch? She is 68, very good, but can not walk for long periods of time. Tentively This is what I expected. One day I intend to carry on the Trolley Tour. I've done this time, and I think it's great. We also hope to visit the monuments and the moon. She wants to see Arlington National Cemetery, Kennedy's grave and change Guard … Does anyone know the name of this tour??. There is no doubt appreciate the natural history museum to see the stones. Other suggestions.?

If you go to Alexandria, There is a shuttle from the subway, King Street, the weekend takes you about three blocks from the waterfront. Mini cruises are one hour long and down the Potomac River. Me also like the Natural History Museum exhibition of precious stones. And I remember a car ride is great, although some buildings (as FDR Memorial), may have to take the tour. I would not recommend going to the Arlington cemetery. The only time I was there, I remember doing a lot of standing and walking.
