Almost everything in the DC for tourists is located in the downtown Smithsonian. You'll find: "The Washington Monument" Most museums White House (a few blocks away) Capital Lincoln Memorial (Walking) In addition to these tips … all other parts of DC are like any other town with shops, restaurants, shops, stores, hotels, bars, clubs, etc. The metro (subway) is a good way to get around. Its interface is easy to use and if you are confused most people are willing to help.
